Abstract Summary

More than one-quarter of people over age 65 will develop memory problems that impair their basic activities of life. The overall goal of our project is to understand the relationship between memory and brain blood flow, brain damage from lack of blood flow, and Alzheimer's disease. The knowledge gained from this study will allow us to tell who is most at risk for memory difficulty related to blood flow problems or related to Alzheimer's disease. Our results will help us to identify the right groups for future studies of treatments to prevent memory loss.
