Abstract Summary
In forensic cases, when no identification is possible, facial reconstruction can aid in establishing an individual's identity. Presently, no data exist for facial thickness in Canadian Aboriginal populations. This project utilizes ultraound technology to measure facial soft tissue depths in living Canadian indigenous children. This project recognizes the special challenges faced by the Aboriginal youth and focuses on the goal of achieving 'health' as envisioned in Canada's Child Health Charter.
