Abstract Summary
Our vision is to create an interdisciplinary training program that brings together clinical and graduate trainees, post-doctoral fellows, early career researchers, and established researchers with a shared passion and interest in girls and women's health and wellbeing. The GROWW (Guiding interdisciplinary Research On Women's and girls health and Wellbeing) program will bring together clinical and scientific trainees and early career researchers from across Canada to participate in a 2-year interdisciplinary training program. Through participation in a weekly online seminar series, virtual half-day retreats, an in-person summer institute, and experiential learning opportunities, trainees will learn about the breadth and depth of research on girls and women's health and wellbeing and different disciplinary approaches. A team mentorship model will be used to ensure that trainees are provided opportunities for mentorship targeted towards their personal career goals. Our team is comprised of 57 investigators from 8 provinces and 23 institutions. Investigators from all career stages (ranging from trainees to senior professors) are meaningfully engaged in this platform to ensure that programming is relevant and of the highest scientific quality.
