Abstract Summary
Summary: The following proposal aims to utilize First Nations Health Authority's (FNHA) Indigenous Evaluation Framework to carry out a comprehensive and wholistic1 evaluation of the impact of Fraser Health Authority (FHA) Aboriginal Primary Care Program innovations on the impact of Indigenous-led primary health care on Quadruple Aim goals. Findings from the evaluation will catalyze research that explores transformational impacts of the Program on primary care equity, specifically looking at how an Indigenous-designed model, entitled Cedar Tree Care, supports cultural safety and respond to colonial barriers to Indigenous health and wellness. The objectives of this proposal are to: O1: Evaluate the efficacy of an Indigenous-led primary care service delivery model on the Quadruple Aims within the Fraser Salish Region. O2: Build upon evaluation findings to catalyze Indigenous-led research that gives voice to Indigenous knowledge and practice embodied by Cedar Tree Care with the goal of improving health equity in the Fraser Salish Region.
