Abstract Summary
We are requesting funding for the 37th annual meeting of the Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (CAPO) which will be held in collaboration with the International Psychosocial Oncology Society (IPOS) 23rd World Congress from August 29th to September 1st 2022 at the Intercontinental Hotel Toronto Centre. CAPO is ideally positioned to host this meeting as Canada's leader in psychosocial oncology and committed to enhancing interdisciplinary excellence in psychosocial research, education and clinical practice in oncology. The 2022 conference theme, Reimagining Psychosocial Oncology and Embracing Voices from Around the World highlights our focus in bringing together players from across the cancer control continuum to break down barriers and create an environment to enable knowledge exchange and in-depth discussions of ways to integrate innovative ideas and approaches into psychosocial oncology health services as an essential component of cancer care in Canada. The CAPO conference provides a critical avenue for linking health experts and partners from across the country who all share a common goal to improve quality of life and well-being for all Canadians touched by cancer.
