Abstract Summary

The purpose of this dissemination and planning event is to bring together leaders in HIV/HCV, harm reduction, and safer opioid supply (SOS) initiatives from across Canada. Canada is experiencing an ongoing overdose crisis that is taking 1000s of lives a year. SOS programs provide people who use drugs with a prescription to reduce their risk of overdose from the street supply of drugs which is unregulated and contaminated. The purpose of this event is to share research findings and lessons from practice from the first wave of SOS initiatives to inform future SOS research, practice and policy initiatives.
